The wildfire hazard for the Lac La Biche area is LOW.

Due to the precipitation received over the last several days, the Fire Advisory inside the forest protection area of the Lac La Biche Wildfire Management Area has been lifted.  Suspended permits are reinstated, and we are issuing new permits.  Please contact your patrolman or your local office if you need a fire permit. Thanks for your patience during the Fire Advisory and for postponing any non-essential burning over the past month or so.

We had no new wildfires again today!  We have 10 fires in the area - 7 are under control and 3 are being held.  So far this season we have had 211 wildfires in the area.

The forecast for the next several days is for warm but humid conditions, chance of thundershowers with lightning and light winds.  The unsettled weather should bring precipitation to the area throughout the rest of the week.

Thanks for doing your part to prevent wildfire.
