The wildfire hazard has climbed back to HIGH for the weekend.

Warm temperatures, dropping humidity and winds have dried up whatever precipitation we received over the last week, returning our wildfire hazard to HIGH.

We have not had any new wildfires this week.  We've had 100 wildfires so far this season. We have 11 crews, four helicopters and the air tankers on hand to fight any new wildfires.

Thanks to everyone for doing your part to prevent wildfire.  We appreciate your taking time to stop frequently and clear quads from debris that can heat up and cause a wildfire along your path, as well as for making sure your campfires are completely extinguished before you leave them.

Enjoy the weekend, and keep an eye out for smoke or fire in the forest. You know who to call: 310-FIRE!
