Cooler temperatures and increased humidity have dropped the wildfire hazard to MODERATE.

The forecast for tomorrow is for a high of 16 degrees, with humidity of 40%, chance of rain, and winds at NE20.  The balance of the week is expected to be continuing humid and cool.

We had no new fires today.  We have six crews, two helicopters and the airtankers on hand to fight any new wildfires.  We have three fires from earlier in the season on patrol status.  So far this season we have had 221 wildfires.

A MODERATE hazard doesn't mean wildfire danger has passed us by for the season.  The grass will continue to cure - and dry grass is a fire hazard no matter what the season! Continue to be careful in the forest.  Put your campfires out.  Clean debris from quads and OHVs.

Thanks for doing your part to prevent wildfire.
