The wildfire hazard will be HIGH again tomorrow.
The forecast is for a high of 27 with humidity of 35% and winds at SE15 km/hr. There is high lightning potential for tomorrow. There is a chance of rain for Monday.
We had one new wildfire today. The fire is under control at .04 hectares. The likely cause of this fire is the dry lightning that crossed the area this afternoon. We are on the lookout for smoke along the path of the lightning.
We have ten crews, 6 helicopters, the airtankers, and some heavy equipment on hand to action any new fires tomorrow.
If you see smoke or fire in the forest, please call 310-FIRE. With the high lightning potential tomorrow, please be careful in the forest. Clean your quads frequently and make sure your campfires are out before you leave them for the weekend.
