The wildfire danger is MODERATE for the Lac La Biche forest area.

The forecast for tomorrow is for a high of 24 degrees, humidity at 50%, chance of showers, moderate lightning, and winds NW15/NE15 km/hr.

We had two new wildfires today.  Both fires from today are within the Cold Lake Air Weapons Range and are being held at .5 and .1 hectares.  Crews were quick to action both wildfires.  The airtankers worked on one of the fires as well.

So far this season we've had 177 wildfires.

In addition to crews working on the existing wildfires, we have 13 crews, 2 helicopters, and the airtankers ready to fight any new wildfires tomorrow.

Due to our lower wildfire danger situation, we have been able to export crews to other parts of Alberta as well as Ontario.  We are also lending our airtankers to Ontario and Quebec to help during their critical time.  Resources within our province will be moved around according to need.

Today's fires were likely started by lighting that crossed the area.  If you see smoke or fire in the forest, please call: 310-FIRE.
