The wildfire danger in the Lac La Biche Forest Area is LOW.
Scattered rain and seasonal temperatures are keeping the wildfire danger level at LOW for the area.
Despite the rain and damp conditions, please take the time to ensure your campfires are extinguished before you leave them.
Current Situation
There are currently no active wildfires in the Lac La Biche Area.
So far this season we've had 143 wildfires in the area.
The Provincial Situation
- There are currently (Sept 13) 10 wildfires in the Forest Protection Area of Alberta. 7 are under control and 3 have been turned over to the responsible parties.
- Since March 1, 2019, Alberta has recorded 959 wildfires in the Forest Protection Area of Alberta that have burned a total of 888,403 hectares.
