The wildfire hazard is LOW for the Lac La Biche Wildfire Management Area.

Widespread precipitation and cooler temperatures forecast for the next few days have driven the wildfire hazard down to LOW.

Crews continue to work on mopping up after a couple of our larger fires from earlier in the season.  Some scans were done on Saturday, before the rains set in.  Crews will watch the identified hot spots, and together with Mother Nature's rain, will work to extinguish them.

This photo is from a wildfire where our crews had to use a boat to get reach the fire area - not sure we'll get enough rain this week to warrant another boat ride, but just in case, crews are ready!

Enjoy the rain!  Thanks for doing your part to prevent wildfire over the past couple of months.

Your next update will be on Friday, unless conditions change between now and then.
