The wildfire hazard is MODERATE for the weekend.
Warmer temperatures, wind, and a day without rain have moved the wildfire hazard up to MODERATE. We expect the hazard to remain moderate throughout the weekend, as the forecast is calling for warmer days, lower humidity, and no precipitation.
Enjoy the weekend and please remember that even though it's been raining and the forest is damp, you still need to put your campfires out before you leave them.
We didn't have any new wildfires this week. So far this season we've had 51 wildfires.
Remember to get your fire permits if you're planning to have fireworks on the long weekend.
