The forecast is for continuing warm temperatures, moderate humidity, chance of precipitation with thunder and lightning potential throughout the weekend.
We had one new wildfire this week. It was started by a discarded smouldering log from a campfire. Please make sure your campfires are extinguished before you leave them. Soak it, stir the ashes, and soak it again. Even if your campfire has burned down and you think it will go out on it's own, take the time to soak it, just to make sure. The wind has a knack for stirring up campfires and bringing them back to life.
There are currently no wildfires burning in the area. We have crews and the airtankers on hand to fight any new wildfires.
