Cooler temperatures, some precipitation and higher humidity levels have dropped the wildfire hazard to Moderate.
Our crews continue to help with the Fort McMurray wildfire as well as the Thorhild wildfire. Crews received bag lunches on the Thorhild fire today that had been hand decorated by local school students. Thanks for caring about our fire fighters!
We had no new wildfires today. The wildfire near Twin Lakes is now being held at 23 hectares. Crews continue to work on this fire.
We have eight crews, one helicopter and the air tankers on hand to fight any new fires in the area.
