The wildfire hazard is MODERATE for Wednesday.

The forecast is for a high of 24 degrees, humidity of 45%, chance of precipitation, high lightning potential, and winds at SE20 km/hr. We expect the weather pattern to change on Thursday and Friday, bringing warmer temperatures and lower humidity.  If this happens, the wildfire hazard will increase.

We have 11 crews, one helicopter and the airtankers on hand to action any new wildfires tomorrow. We have exported resources from our area to help in British Columbia and Montana.

As the wildfire hazard builds, please remember that more than half of all our wildfires in the area are human caused!  We can't do too much about the lightning caused wildfires, but human caused wildfires are preventable.  Do your part to prevent wildfire by cleaning debris from quads, and putting your campfires out.

Thanks for helping protect our forest.
