Persistent rain showers and high humidity have been keeping the wildfire hazard LOW.

The forecast is for continued precipitation, cooler temperatures, high humidty and moderate winds for the next several days.

We didn't have any new wildfires this week.

We have 10 crews and the air tankers on hand to fight any new wildfires.

Despite the damp forest conditions, please don't take any shortcuts if you have a campfire.  Take the time to make sure it's extinguished before you leave it - Soak it, Stir the Ashes, Soak it Again.  With the winds we've been having lately, abandoned campfires can come back to life and they will cause problems when the rain stops and the grass dries out.

Thanks for doing your part to prevent wildfire!
