The wildfire hazard is HIGH for Friday.
Winds are expected to be strong and gusty tomorrow starting out at S20 and switching to W25 gusting to 40 km/hr. No burning tomorrow! According to the weather forecast, we expect the winds to drop off and the wildfire hazard to drop for the weekend.
We have three crews and two helicopters on hand to action any new wildfires. We have shared our crews with southern Alberta, BC and Montana.
We didn't have any new wildfires this week.
If you're out in the forest this weekend, remember to extinguish your campfires before you leave them. Thanks for your help in preventing wildfire.
