The wildfire hazard has climbed to VERY HIGH.

The forecast for tomorrow is for a high of 27 with humidty of 25%, high lightning potential and winds SW20.  Two hot, dry days in a row, with lightning, have driven the wildfire hazard up. Please exercise caution in the forest tonight and tomorrow.  Keep your campfires small and under control.  Clear your quads and ATVs of debris that can heat up, fall to the ground and start a wildfire along your path.

We didn't have any new wildfires today.

We have 13 crews, eight helicopters and the air tankers ready to fight any new wildfires.  Some of our crews are beginning to return from the Fort McMurray wildfire.

If you see smoke or fire in the forest, call 310-FIRE.  We appreciate your help in protecting our forests.
