A lack of recent precipitation keeps the wildfire hazard at MODERATE for the Forest Area. Over the weekend, no significant precipitation is in the forecast and temperatures will be in the mid-teens. The wind will increase in speed on Saturday making a wildfire start easily and spread quickly. Make sure you are abiding by the conditions of your fire permit.
Please remain diligent in the forest. Never leave a campfire unattended. Make sure your campfires are completely extinguished before you leave them.
Hunters - if you stop for lunch and have a fire, please make sure it's out!
While using an off-highway vehicle (OHV) stop frequently to remove the debris that has accumulated in the machine's hotspots.
