The wildfire hazard for today is HIGH.

The forecast for today is for a high of 25 with humidity of 35% and light winds out of the southwest. There is a chance of isolated rain.  Saturday is expected to be much the same, however we are expecting cooler temperatures and a greater chance of rain of Sunday.

We have five crews, two helicopters and the airtankers on hand in the area for any new wildfires.

Just a reminder that although fall is in the air, there is still danger from wildfire.  Hunters and berry pickers, please remember to put your camfires out before you leave them.  And quadders - please remember to stop and clear debris from your machines.

Wildfire season does not officially end until October 31.  You need a permit to do any burning, with the exception of a campfire, until this date.

Thanks for doing your part to prevent wildfire.
