The wildfire hazard for tomorrow is HIGH

We had three new wildfires today, all resulting from the lighting that crossed the area late this afternoon.  Tomorrow's forecast is for another day like today, with a high of 26, humidity of 35%, lightning, and winds SW15/SE10.  We will be on the lookout for holdover lightning fires tomorrow as well as fires from new lightning expected tomorrow afternoon.

Crews were quick to catch today's wildfires.  One was extinguished, one is under control at .01 hectares and one is being held at .2 hectares.  We anticipate both fires to be under control by the end of today.

We have 13 crews, 9 helicopters, the air tankers, and one dozer unit ready to fight any new wildfires.

Thanks for doing your part to prevent wildfire.
