The FIRE ADVISORY remains in effect for the Lac La Biche Forest Area due to a cured grass wildfire hazard.  However, fire permits may be issued starting today.

  • Fire permits for heavy brush piles, windrows, machine piled brush piles and root piles or any other non-essential heavy burning will NOT be issued until the Fire Advisory is lifted.
  • All other existing fire permits are still valid if the conditions on the permit are being followed at all times.  Be aware of windspeed.  No burning when winds exceed 12 km/hr.
  • Safe campfires are allowed.
  • Any previous or winter burning should be checked for extinguishment.

Various areas have fire bans in place.  Check albertafirebans.ca for information on where you can and cannot have a campfire.
