Effective immediately, there is a FIRE ADVISORY in place for the Lac La Biche Forest Area.
The weather forecast is for high winds and low relative humidities across the area today. No fire permits will be issued until after this weather front exits the area. No new ignition of fires should be taking place. Any previous and winter burning should be checked for extinguishment.
Be particularly careful in the forest today. The wildfire hazard is VERY HIGH. Any fires that ignite will be extremely difficult to contain, given the strong winds.
