A WILDFIRE ADVISORY has been issued for the Lac La Biche area.  There is to be no non-essential burning of heavy materials at this time, even if you have a permit.  The FIRE ADVISORY will remain in place until conditions change.

The wildfire hazard for the area is HIGH.  Unseasonably warm temperatures coupled with strong and gusting winds in the forecast mean any wildfires that ignite will be difficult to contain.

Check your fire permits for conditions for a safe burn.  You will find these on the back of the permit.  There is to be NO BURNING when WINDS ARE GREATER THAN 15 KM/H

So far this season we have had 18 wildfires. All fires are extinguished or under control at this time.

Please do your part to prevent wildfires.
