Good morning.  The smoke in the area is from the Fort Mc Murray wildfire.  Northeast winds picked up overnight and pushed smoke southwest.  We expect the smoke to be with us for the next several days until the wind direction changes.

There are no new wildfires in the area.

There is no status change on the wildfire west of Janvier.  It remains west of Highway 881 and was about 50 hectares last night.  Heavy equipment worked through the night to establish dozer guard around the fire.  Airtanker action this morning will likely be hampered by the smoke conditions.  This fire received about 2ml of rain overnight.
