The wildfire hazard is EXTREME for the Lac La Biche forest area.

Use extreme caution in the forest areas tomorrow.  Dry grass is very volatile, and fires that start will spread quickly and be difficult to contain.

Be very careful if you have to operate a quad tomorrow.  Stop frequently and clear grass and muskeg from hotspots that can heat up, fall to the ground and start a wildfire.  Keep quads on gravel roads if possible to avoid potential ignition in grassy meadows, ditches, and other areas.

Hunters - if you're out and about and have a campfire, make sure it's out before you leave it. Under current conditions it's likely the winds will whip the fire up and spread sparks and embers.

Thanks for doing your part to prevent wildfire.
