The forecast for Wednesday and Thursday is for unseasonably cool temperatures accompanied by widespread precipitation.  Although it will still be windy, the cool temperatures and increased humidity put the wildfire hazard at LOW.

Continue to exercise caution in the forest, particularly in areas that have not received precipitation.

We had one new grass fire today.  So far this season we have had 91 wildfires.  Two fires are active in the area and both are under control.  Crews and helicopters are stationed throughout the area.

Thanks for doing your part to prevent wildfire.
