The wildfire hazard is MODERATE for the Lac La Biche Forest Area and the FIRE ADVISORY remains in place.  Precipitation today was light and scattered, and cured grass still presents a wildfire hazard. Follow the conditions on your fire permits.  Heavy burning including brush piles, windrows and other non-essential burning is not allowed at this time.

The forecast for the week is continued cool temperatures ahead of a cold front which should cross the area on Thursday.  Light winds from the southeast are expected.

We had one new fire today.  There are three fires in the area and they are all under control. So far this season we've had 48 wildfires.

Thanks for doing your part to prevent wildfire.

Your next update will be on Thursday, April 28 unless conditions change in the meantime.
