A FIRE ADVISORY remains in place for the Lac La Biche area.  The wildfire hazard hovers at HIGH.

Very dry conditions coupled with strong and gusting winds mean any wildfires that start in dry grass will spread quickly and be difficult to control.  Fires may get out of control quickly.  Refrain from any unnecessary burning tomorrow.  Follow the conditions outlined on the back of your fire permits.  Never burn when winds exceed 15 km/hr.  No permits for heavy burning are being issued.

The forecast for tomorrow is for a high of 8 with humidity of 40%, a chance of light precipitation across the northern part of the area and winds NE25G40.

We had eight new wildfires today.  Five fires continue to burn: one fire is in the Heart Lake area and the remaining fires are in the Janvier area. All fires are being held or are under control.

There are several grass fires in areas outside the forest protection area. Please do your part to prevent wildfire.  Postpone unnecessary burning until the winds subside and we receive some precipitation.
