The wildfire hazard remains HIGH, with strong winds forecast to continue until Monday night. Warm temperatures in combination with gusty winds over the weekend have accelerated snow melt in open areas.
Grass fires that ignite under current windy conditions will be hard to control. Exercise caution with any fires.
Fire Permit conditions, printed on the back of all permits, state that there is to be no burning when winds are in excess of 15 km/hr. Do your part to prevent wildfire - don't burn in windy conditions like we have today.
