The Fire Advisory for the Lac La Biche Forest Area remains in place.  We are no longer issuing any new fire permits.

The use of quads and ATVs or OHVs is not recommended during this very dry and hot spell.

The Fire Advisory will be increased to a Fire Restriction if conditions warrant.  Check albertafirebans.ca or this update for changes to the current situation.

The forecast is for a high of 30 degrees tomorrow with humidity of 20%, and light winds at SE15/SW15 km/hr.  When the temperature is higher than the humidity levels - there is high likelihood of wildfires.  This is the case for most of the province tomorrow, so be particularly careful in forest areas.

We have 15 crews, 12 helicopters, four dozer units, multiple water trucks and other pieces of heavy equipment ready to action new wildfires in the area.

So far this season we have had 67 wildfires.  We had two new wildfires today.  There are currently two wildfires active in the area and both are under control.
