Safe burning practices are always in season. Frequently check your winter burns and ensure you fully extinguish your fire.
A fire left smouldering can burn underground all winter long and cause a wildfire in the spring. Firefighters urge you to go back and check your winter burns to ensure they are extinguished. Please review Windrows and Brush Piles Safe Burning Practices.
If you suspect a wildfire, please report it to 310 FIRE. Residents are not required to contact Alberta Wildfire outside of fire season when burning, however we appreciate the information in the event that smoke is reported by the public. You can contact the Forestry Office at 780-743-7125.
If you spot a wildfire, call 310-FIRE!
