Alberta's wildfire season ends today. The wildfire danger in the Fort McMurray and the Fort Chipewyan area is LOW. 

Fort McMurray Forest Area Wildfire Update

There are currently no fires in the forest area. Since March 1 there have been 80 wildfires in the forest protection area that have burned 50,588 hectares. 


Provincial Summary - 10 am, October 31

There are currently 8 wildfires in the Forest Protection Area of Alberta. Four are under control and 4 have been turned over to the responsible parties.

Since March 1, 2019, Alberta has recorded 989 wildfires in the Forest Protection Area of Alberta that have burned a total of 883,412 hectares.
