EDSON FOREST AREA WILDFIRE UPDATE | June 21, 2019
The Edson Forest Area (EFA) currently has 0 active wildfire.
EWF043, which was located 40 km south east of Edson is classified extinguished as of June 19.
Since March 1, 2019, there have been 51 wildfires in the EFA which has burnt approximately 265 ha.

PROVINCIAL WILDFIRE UPDATE | June 21, 2019
There are currently 22 wildfires in the Forest Protection Area of Alberta. 4 are out of control, 4 are being held, 11 are under control and 3 have been turned over to the responsible parties.
Since March 1, 2019, Alberta has recorded 642 wildfires in the Forest Protection Area of Alberta that have burned a total of 802,818.82 hectares.
Fire Danger Rating: High in the northeastern boreal, low to moderate elsewhere.
Agriculture and Forestry has the following resources deployed on wildfires or pre-positioned across the province ready to action new wildfires: 2,268 firefighters and support staff, 203 helicopters, 22 airtankers and 302 pieces of heavy equipment.
Agriculture and Forestry is currently being supported by imported resources from the following provinces and agencies: British Columbia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Quebec, Northwest Territories, Newfoundland, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, CIFFC, Parks Canada and the United States.

- Clear debris from hot spots on your Off-Highway Vehicle.
